My father, Johnny Lawrence, lost his fight with cancer last night.
Those of you that knew him professionally, ( I hope ) knew him as a seasoned old school Medic, with all the typical traits that come with the job. I knew him first as a father, then got the chance to work along side of him as a medic myself. We both seen and cared for countless patients fighting one form of cancer or another. When he was diagnosed with cancer himself, we all knew where the road would eventually end. We talked about it and planed for it. As with everything in life, unexpected costs happen in passing as well.
Cremation was the plan from the start, he didn’t a funeral or memorial. So instead of flowers and cards, donations to help my Mom with all the unexpected fees would be greatly appreciated.
