On the evening of August 1, our dear friend Phillip Sr. and Phillip’s Step mother, Charlene, and family experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. Their beloved son, Phillip Eric Jackson, was involved in a tragic bicycle accident and suffered a catastrophic traumatic brain injury. Despite the extraordinary efforts of his medical team, his injuries are not survivable.
Phillip is currently being cared for in the ICU while the organ donation team completes the necessary medical process so that he can give the extraordinary gift of organ donation and help save the lives of others. In the midst of this unimaginable heartbreak, Phillip Sr., Charlene, his sister Danielle, his brother Matthew, and his beloved grandmother Margarita, who helped raise him, are cherishing every remaining moment they have with him before saying their final goodbye.
Phillip would have celebrated his 38th birthday on October 29. As his family prepares to say goodbye, they are also facing the unexpected financial burden of cremation and memorial expenses.
We are asking for your support to help ease some of that burden. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward honoring Phillip’s life and helping Phillip Sr. and family with cremation and memorial expenses. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Phillip Sr., Charlene, Danielle, Matthew, Margarita, and everyone who loves Phillip in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means more than words can express as Phillip’s family prepares to say goodbye while honoring his final selfless gift of giving others the chance at life through organ donation.
