On Tuesday, August 4, the Baker family experienced the heartbreaking and devastating loss of their beloved son and brother, Luka, in a tragic accident. The loss was completely unexpected, leaving his family and all who knew him to navigate a grief that is impossible to put into words. At just five years old, Luka’s life was far too short.
Luka was the sweetest, most joyful little boy—a bright light whose laughter, curiosity, and loving spirit brought happiness to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Luka was a non-speaking autistic child who expressed his love in his own beautiful way—through hugs, kisses, dancing, and jumping with pure joy. His autism was an important part of who he was and contributed to the qualities that made him so incredibly special. The way Luka connected with others showed the depth of his loving spirit and the happiness he carried within him. In his five short years, he filled the hearts of his family and friends with immeasurable love. His five older brothers will cherish the memories they created with Luka and the special bond they shared with him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and countless memories that will be treasured forever.
