Kasia and her husband are parents to three young children. Kasia was always willing to quickly respond with help to anyone who was in need, in any way she could. Sadly, a little over a year ago, she was diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma cancer that stole her from this world much too quickly. Kasia, a devout Catholic, lost her battle with cancer on December 11, 2024, and now has everlasting life with our Lord, Jesus Christ. During her illness, her husband quickly jumped into the roles that Kasia once filled without a blink and accepted the responsibility of caregiver to Kasia with such grace. He demonstrated great compassion and profound devotion to caring for his wife and children despite such the difficult journey given to them.
Kasia was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1978, with her family and then immigrated to Chicago, IL. She later met her husband in Wisconsin Dells, and moved to Scottsdale to make a beautiful life together. Kasia loved being married and raising a family. Prior to her passing, she shared that one of her greatest blessings and accomplishments was being a wife and mother, a truly divine calling for Kasia.
To say Kasia was a light in all of our lives is an understatement. Her light was a beacon of hope for so many. Her grace, her optimism, and her unwavering faith not only brightened up the lives of those around her but were an inspiration to all of us. Kasia’s generosity made us want to give. Her hope made us feel that tomorrow would be better. Her benevolence motivated us to help those in need. Her compassion was not only felt in our community but also extended beyond borders and oceans. She put into motion an international rescue effort for a family escaping war a few years ago, and was recognized by the Catholic Sun and ultimately saved three lives. She was the whisper that motivated all of us to do better in our lives, and with knowing that we can say she was the bright light Christ asks all of us to be in a dark world. Even though our eyes may be filled with tears, we remember the beauty of her smile and know that she is all around us now.
