Support Luke’s Family in Their Time of Need

Main fundraiser photo

Hello, my name is Luke Scott Jr., and this is my grandpa, Jon Russell Scott. Unfortunately, he passed away two nights ago unexpectedly from heart issues. My family needs help with some of the costs to send him home to California. Let me tell you a little bit about my grandpa, Jon Russell Scott.

It is very hard to lose my grandpa; it seems unreal because I saw him two hours before he passed. He was eating chicken nuggets as we talked and laughed. He was always a fun and happy grandpa. When I would stay over or just visit, we would horse around and have fun. He would get on to me about tracking mud through the house, but I think he loved it because I would sweep the floor every time, so it was always clean when I was around. He would have his ups and downs because he was a diabetic for 30+ years, but that didn’t stop him. Back in his prime, he was a bodybuilder. He was proud of that day, I know, because the expressions on his face as I listened to his story’s. In 2017, he had half of each foot amputated. But that never stopped him, he walked everywhere he went without a walker or any assistance from anyone. Fun times we would have, going to car shows, boating, and fishing. My grandpas passion (besides his family) was raising chickens. When he moved here he had a few chickens, they are so beautiful. I seen why he enjoyed it so much, the peace on his face and thought that his body gave the chickens comfort when he held them. Now I care for his chickens and I hope that I can carry his passion and wisdom for years. My grandpa loved his family unconditionally; you couldn’t do any wrong in his eyes. He had such a big heat (but don’t tel anyone) he would help anyone. He was born and raised in California. He meet and married my grandma and had 3 kids, my dad is the youngest. Grandma and grandpa was unable to stay married so grandma my dad and aunt moved to Idaho. And for a bit my parents and I would travel to California to visit him, but it was never long enough. So, he moved to Idaho to be closer to his kids and grandkids, and I am very thankful he did because I was able to have a relationship we made memories lot of memories together that I will cherish forever. Our family would like to send him home to California to be next to family. The family has collected all but $4,000. The proceeds will be used to transport his body to his final resting place. We would like to thank you for your help from the bottom of our hearts.
